Job Summary

The HVAC Assistant works under the supervision of licensed technicians to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role is primarily responsible for preparing job sites, transporting tools and materials, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring protocols are followed.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance: Assist with cleaning coils, clearing drain lines, and replacing air filters: Load and unload HVAC units, tools, and supplies. Prepare the worksite by laying down tarps and clearing space.
  • System Maintenance: Assist with cleaning coils, clearing drain lines, and replacing air filters.
  • Assisting Technicians: Hand tools and materials to the lead technician during repairs and installations. Hold ladders, measure pipes, and help fabricate or install ductwork.
  • Basic Troubleshooting: Under guidance, assist with checking refrigerant levels, testing electrical components, and diagnosing equipment malfunctions.
  • Clean-up & Inventory: Clean up the job site, remove debris, and keep company vehicles organized and stocked.
Requirements

High School or GED Required.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to strictly follow safety directives.

  • Completes job responsibilities within required timeframe according to established schedules or workflow requirements.
