Job description

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is seeking a BU Area Service Manager in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine.

POSITION SUMMARY

This role provides technical support and training aligned with METUS objectives, offering customers guidance on application, installation, operation, service procedures, and warranty support across all product lines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Support technicians and distributors in installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing METUS products.
2. Coordinate with the Business Unit Technical Services Manager and Sr Area Service Managers.
3. Manage the designated geographic area.
4. Interpret maintenance data from customers.
5. Become SME on Inverter Mini Split and VRF Technology.
6. Assist in developing Business Unit Area Service Advisors.
7. Deliver technical training to customers and distributors.
8. Provide reports on service issues and root causes.
9. Resolve technical problems related to HVAC equipment.
10. Collaborate with Service and QA teams on product quality issues.
11. Conduct on-site installation/start-up training.
12. Offer technical support via phone, email, forums, and in person.
13. Read and interpret wiring schematics and refrigerant diagrams.
14. Operate refrigerant recovery equipment per regulations.
15. Guide distributor support personnel, including DSG members.
16. Recommend service parts for stocking.
17. Review equipment and labor concessions for trends.
18. Travel up to 50% domestically, occasionally internationally.
19. Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• HVAC 2-year Associate Degree or Technical School Certification.
• EPA Certification.
• 3-5 years HVAC service experience.
• Knowledge of ductless, VRF systems, controls, BMS/BAS, BACnet.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to access job sites physically.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Team-oriented with METUS core values.

The salary range at start is $80,000 to $110,000 annually, with potential bonuses and benefits including 401(k), insurance, paid leave, holidays, and parental leave.
