Job summary

T and T Plumbing and Heating in LaOtto, IN is seeking an HVAC Apprentice Technician to join our family-owned team. You will perform scheduled maintenance, assist with residential and light commercial heating and cooling work, and deliver professional customer service.

We offer a company-provided vehicle, uniforms, and a full-time, year-round role with opportunities for ongoing training and certification. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience, plus performance incentives.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience in customer service helpful; construction/HVAC background beneficial.
• EPA certification preferred but not required; training is available.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions; safe with hand/power tools.
• Basic math and ability to read a tape measure.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test after offer.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled HVAC maintenance inspections, cleanings, and system evaluations.
• Assist with servicing and repairing residential and light commercial heating and cooling equipment.
• Discuss maintenance plans, repair recommendations, indoor air quality solutions, and replacement options with customers.
• Deliver professional and courteous customer service.
• Participate in hands-on training and learn industry best practices from experienced technicians.

HVAC Apprentice Technician

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience, plus performance incentives

Hours: 7:00am - 4:00pm | Monday through Friday | occasional overtime as needed

• EPA certification is preferred but not required; training is available
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from supervisors and lead technicians
• Comfortable using hand tools and power tools, including drills and saws
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure accurately
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
