Job summary

USA Hometown Experts seeks an HVAC Apprentice to work with seasoned technicians on installing, repairing, and maintaining heating and cooling systems. This entry-level position is ideal for someone mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and aiming for a long-term career in HVAC.

You will assist with residential and light commercial work, learn to read blueprints, and gain on-the-job training toward licensure and full technician status. Growth opportunities and regular reviews are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions in a team setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in crawl spaces, attics, and on roofs.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• HVAC trade school enrollment or completion a plus (not required).
• Punctual and dependable with good work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and service of residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Help load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.
• Support technicians in diagnosing system issues and performing repairs.
• Learn to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site and service vehicle.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies at all times.
• Communicate respectfully and clearly with team members and customers.
• Attend training sessions and pursue licensing or certification as required.
