Job summary

Gropp Heating Air & Electric is hiring an HVAC Apprentice Installer to install and service residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps and related components. You will troubleshoot installations, work on ductwork, and ensure thermostats operate correctly while loading materials into the vehicle and complying with safety policies.

The role requires strong customer service, the physical ability to lift 100 lbs, and a valid driver license with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

Willingness to learn HVAC trade and become a journeyman.
Ability to measure ductwork and install equipment and accessories.
Must be able to lift 100 lbs.
Valid driver license and insurable driving record.
Excellent customer service skills.
Comfortable working outdoors in the elements.

Responsibilities

Install HVAC equipment into residential homes.
Troubleshoot equipment installation, start-up, operation and other issues.
Install flex and sheet metal duct systems in residential buildings.
Ensure functionality of thermostats to control HVAC system.
Load all necessary materials and equipment required for each job into company vehicle.
Follow all safety and training per company policy and procedure.
Ensure that company vehicle is maintained and in operating order.
Participate and attend all required employee meetings and trainings.
Other duties as assigned.
