Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a motivated HVAC Apprentice to join our NYC-area team. You will assist with residential and commercial service, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs while learning from experienced technicians in the field.

This on-the-road role includes hands-on training, mentorship, and a path toward journeyman status, with competitive hourly pay, health benefits, 401(k) matching, and paid time off. Weekend and on-call shifts are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year HVAC experience
• SST/OSHA, EPA a plus
• Clean, safe driving record
• Highly organized with follow-through
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Outgoing, team-focused attitude
• Desire to improve as a technician every day
• Note: duties may expand with needs of the organization

Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC Mechanics and Lead Technicians on service calls, maintenance, and installations
• Help diagnose HVAC system issues and support repairs
• Carry tools, materials, and equipment to job sites
• Learn to install, maintain, and repair boilers, rooftops, split systems, PTACs, mini splits, and ACs
• Assist with preventive maintenance and filter changes
• Maintain clean, organized work areas, trucks, and job sites
• Document work performed through Service Titan with photos
• Record materials, sizes, and labor notes on work orders
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, dispatchers, customers, and team members
• Arrive on time and prepare for work each day
• Continue developing technical skills and industry knowledge
