Job summary

Western Heating & Air Conditioning in Boise, ID, seeks a Residential AOR Journeyman Installer to join a family‑owned team. You will perform add‑on and replacement installations, evaluate existing systems, and ensure safety standards and manufacturer specs are followed.

Strong mechanical skills and a valid driver’s license are required. Pay ranges $40.00–$50.00 per hour DOE, with benefits including health and dental insurance, 401(k) options, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Prior residential installation, service, or replacement experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and on ladders.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential add‑on and replacement installations on existing systems.
• Remove, replace, or upgrade equipment, wiring, and components as required.
• Evaluate existing systems and determine appropriate modifications or replacements.
• Follow work orders, installation standards, and manufacturer specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable safety standards and company policies.
• Troubleshoot issues and verify proper system operation upon completion.
• Maintain accurate job documentation and close‑out reports.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe job site.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners regarding work performed.
• Provide basic homeowner education on updated or replaced systems.
