Specialty Materials is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Specialist in Lowell, MA to maintain cascade refrigeration systems for critical process cooling. You will troubleshoot industrial refrigeration units, manage ultra-low temperature operations, and perform preventive maintenance on roof-mounted equipment.

Compensation Package

• Starting Salary: $98-120K
• Additional yearly bonus of $3-5K
• Additional Salary: On-call differential, overtime opportunities ($10-20K/year)

The Technical Work You'll Do

• System Maintenance: Apply your knowledge of cascade refrigeration systems to maintain critical process cooling for boron trichloride recovery
• Equipment Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues with industrial refrigeration units including compressors, evaporators, and condensers
• Low-Temperature Expertise: Maintain systems operating at extremely low temperatures (-105°F to -128°F) using specialized refrigerants
• Technical Monitoring: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on roof-mounted refrigeration units
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all refrigeration systems operate within safety parameters in a chemical processing environment
