Specialty Materials in Lowell, MA is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Specialist to maintain cascade refrigeration systems for critical process cooling, including boron trichloride recovery. You’ll work with Syltherm oil systems, industrial compressors, heat exchangers and control instrumentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- HVAC MA License required.
- EPA Universal certification required.
- 5+ years’ experience in industrial refrigeration systems.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Maintain cascade refrigeration systems for critical process cooling.
- Equipment Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair industrial refrigeration units including compressors, evaporators, and condensers.
- Low-Temperature Expertise: Operate systems at extreme temperatures (-105°F to -128°F) using specialized refrigerants.
- Technical Monitoring: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on roof-mounted units.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety parameters in a chemical processing environment.
