Job summary

Dürr Systems, LLC is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design professional to work on automotive paint shop and general assembly automation projects. You will create 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD, interpret schematics, apply SMACNA calculations, and participate in field measurements at customer sites.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, strong mathematical abilities, and experience with duct routing. Collaboration with engineering, estimating, and suppliers is essential to deliver

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in engineering/related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design or related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (3D) and 2D drawing creation.
• Experience with mechanical layout, detail drawings, and duct routing.
• Familiarity with SMACNA codes and duct sizing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and perform basic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Utilize AutoCAD to create drawings (2D and 3D)
• Interpret schematics to develop complete system designs
• Apply SMACNA general air handling calculations for duct/component sizing
• Travel to customer sites for field measurements
• Maintain project schedules
• Communicate with engineering, estimating, contractors, suppliers and customers
• Control and document distribution and archiving of drawings
• Diagnose and solve design problems
• Attend and contribute to design review meetings
• Interpret mechanical drawings
