Job summary

ESP Associates, Inc. in Raleigh, NC seeks a Project Engineer to provide mid-level engineering on complex HV transmission design projects.

You will lead line routing, PLS-CADD modeling, structure and foundation design, and permitting, coordinating with survey and engineering teams. The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, safety, and delivering constructible designs while supporting procurement and construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
• 4+ years of transmission line engineering experience in electric utility industry.
• Experience using PLS-CADD for designing transmission lines.
• Experience with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI.
• Experience liaising substation, transmission, environmental, real estate, construction, and maintenance stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety regulations.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and approve PLS-CADD Criteria.
• Schedule project tasks for project support team.
• Attend client stakeholder meetings.
• Complete design review meetings with the client.
• Attend internal design review meetings.
