Job summary

Invenergy, LLC in Chicago area seeks a Manager of HV Maintenance to lead high-voltage maintenance strategy across wind, solar, and storage facilities. You will oversee substation maintenance, guide an in-house HV/MV team, and ensure safe, compliant operation of electrical systems.

Requires 8+ years in the industry with HV/MV testing/maintenance experience; strong NFPA 70E/OSHA knowledge; willingness to travel up to 25%; US work eligibility.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in the electrical power industry.
• 4+ years of high voltage electrical testing, substation maintenance, or HV/MV field service.
• Experience supervising HV/MV testing and/or maintenance activities.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planned substation maintenance activities by contractors and in-house technicians with focus on safety and documentation.
• Lead an in-house HV/MV technician team for inspections, testing, repairs, and outage support across renewable sites.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and develop HV/MV technicians; establish team structure, safety practices, and performance standards.
• Manage technician scheduling, callouts, and workload balancing across projects and sites.
• Develop the in-house maintenance model for MV/HV scope transition from contractor to internal teams.
• Provide technical guidance on HV/MV transformers and substations; review test results and switching plans.
