Installed Building Products in Florida is seeking a reliable Window Protection Installer to install fabric hurricane panels and AstroGuard systems on residential and commercial properties. You will measure, mark, and fit panels according to blueprints or client specifications, using power and hand tools to secure materials.

This role requires physical labor, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, comfort with ladders or scaffolding, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, window installation, or hurricane protection is preferred.
• Able to read and interpret measurements and installation instructions.
• Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and in varying weather conditions.
• Lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical labor safely.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Window Protection Installer specializing in fabric hurricane panels and AstroGuard installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Install fabric hurricane panels and AstroGuard systems on residential and commercial properties.


• Measure and mark areas for installation based on blueprints or client specifications.


• Use power tools and hand tools to secure panels and materials properly.


• Ensure all installations meet safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.


• Communicate clearly with customers and team members on-site.


• Maintain clean and organized work areas and company vehicles.


• Follow all company policies and OSHA safety standards.

Requirements

Physical demands

The physical demands of this role involve frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching to install items such as wire shelving, shower doors, mirrors, and hardware. The installer must regularly lift and carry materials and tools, sometimes weighing up to 50 pounds, and work in various positions to complete installations in tight or awkward spaces. Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively are essential. The role also requires mobility to move through residential construction sites and attention to detail to complete final punch-out tasks efficiently.
