Huntington University Arizona — Assistant Professor of Film Production – Tenure-track

The Department of Digital Media Arts at Huntington University Peoria, AZ, invites applications for a tenure-track position in Film Production starting Fall 2025. The primary focus will be on teaching, with expectations to maintain professional work and contribute to our award-winning film production program, ranked #3 nationally by the Broadcast Education Association. The role involves nurturing students' artistic talents and preparing them for successful careers in film, including oversight and production assistance on short and feature-length films.

Qualifications Sought:
  • Experience in film production is required.
  • Teaching experience in cinematography, sound mixing, and/or post-production is preferred.
  • Five years of professional experience in film production, cinematography, post-production, and/or sound mixing is preferred.
  • Preferred terminal degree (MFA or Ph.D.).
  • Evidence of a collegial spirit and positive interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Energetic, student-centered, and an effective teacher-mentor.
