Job summary

JAX Mercantile in Broomfield seeks a Part-Time Sales Associate to guide customers on hunting gear, bows, and ammunition. You will share knowledge, provide honest recommendations, and help prepare customers for hunting seasons while enjoying employee discounts and pro-deals.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, stocking shelves, processing payments, and assisting with visual merchandising and inventory. Previous retail and firearms experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience is required.
• Experience with firearms, bows, and hunting gear is required.
• Must be able to sell firearms in Colorado.
• Computer proficiency and basic record-keeping are expected.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide honest, informative answers.
• Suggest products and assist with visual merchandising.
• Stock shelves and keep the area tidy and organized.
• Process payments accurately and handle returns as needed.

Indulge your passion for hunting, target practice, and all things outdoors as a Part-Time Sales Associate at Jax Outdoor Gear in Broomfield. Share your knowledge and enthusiasm and guide customers in making the best decisions on hunting gear and ammo. Help customers prepare for hunting by tuning bows and giving tips on archery. Product training, pro-deals, and our employee discount mean you can try out items in order to increase your knowledge and provide expert opinions to our customers.

Our Sales Associates are responsible for greeting customers, providing honest and informative answers to questions, making suggestions about products that customers might want, and performing necessary tasks for efficient department operation. Responsibilities include stocking shelves, tracking down products for customers, keeping the department tidy, relaying customer feedback to their manager, and assisting with visual merchandising of products in the store. Additional tasks may include:

• Accurately processing payments
• Helping with visual merchandising
• Maintaining a clean and well-stocked area
• Complete record-keeping tasks and contributing to reports
• Learning about products to provide better answers to customer questions
• Assisting in loss prevention efforts
• Communicating professionally
• Presenting a professional appearance and demeanor
• Taking steps to advance teamwork and develop solid working relationships with co-workers
• Assisting in inventory responsibilities

Our ideal candidate has prior customer service experience, and is willing to pitch-in where needed. Additional knowledge, skills or abilities include:

• Experience with firearms, bows, and other hunting equipment required
• Must be able to fulfill the requirements to sell firearms in the State of Colorado
• Bow technician experience preferred
• Previous retail experience preferred
• Computer proficiency required

Schedule Requirements:

• Must have open availability, nights, and weekends

Pay Range:

$15.16 - $16.50
