Job summary

Hume Christian Camps is seeking a Food Service Assistant to help prepare and serve meals to guests, maintaining sanitary dining spaces and supporting a distraction-free environment for ministry and guest experiences.

You may work in kitchen roles such as Cook, Baker, Dishwasher, Host/Hostess, Pantry Assistant, or Commissary Assistant, with safety procedures followed and a positive, Christ-centered team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or a dependent resident in Hume Lake housing.
• No previous experience required.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and work outdoors or indoors as needed.
• Must agree with and support Hume Christian Camps’ Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

The Food Service Assistant plays a vital role in creating a distraction-free environment for guests and maintaining spaces that help facilitate ministry and guest experiences. This individual provides general help and assistance in the preparation and serving of meals to guests, ensuring a delicious and sanitary dining experience.

The Role:

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals to guests by serving in one of the following assigned roles of the kitchen – Cook, Baker, Dishwasher, Host/Hostess, Pantry Assistant, or Commissary Assistant.
• Follow all safety procedures and directions provided by supervisors.
• Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, contributing to a Christ-centered team environment.
• Represent Hume Christian Camps’ values and mission through conduct, attitude, and service.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Must be at least 18 years old or a dependent resident in Hume Lake housing.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, frequently lift 50 pounds, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
