Job summary

Chatham University seeks adjunct instructors in the Humanities to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses and to contribute to course development. You will work with faculty to align content with department goals and provide mentorship outside class.

Office hours, collaboration, and participation in adjunct training are expected. Required: a master’s degree in a relevant field; a doctoral degree is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • PhD or doctoral degree preferred.
  • Experience teaching and mentoring in humanities.
  • Experience or lived experience advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in humanities disciplines.
  • Consult and collaborate with other faculty to align course content with departmental goals.
  • Hold office hours and provide student mentorship and support.
  • Participate in adjunct instructor training sessions.
