Job summary

United Nations Secretariat seeks an intern for the CERF Secretariat in New York to support monitoring, data work, and partnership activities. You will help analyze humanitarian developments, assist in anticipatory action frameworks, and draft responses to funding applications.

The role offers exposure to programmatic work, data visualization, and coordination with UN agencies. Fluency in English is required, with French desirable.

Qualifications

• Students in final year or recently completed in related field; no prior work experience required.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
• Desirable knowledge of statistics, Python and data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and research humanitarian developments to support funding decisions.
• Assist in setting up Anticipatory Action (AA) frameworks through research and planning.
• Draft responses for funding applications and support partnerships and reporting activities.
• Support data collection, management, and maintaining information resources; prepare documents and briefings.
