State of California, Department of Fish and Wildlife, North Central Region is seeking an Environmental Services Intern to support the Human-Wildlife Conflict program with field and policy‑driven tasks.

The role offers hands‑on learning about wildlife management, conflict mitigation, and data reporting, with hybrid work and required in‑person days to align with statewide policy; travel up to 50% will be needed.

• Ability to think quickly, plan, and respond to fast-paced, changing situations involving wildlife.

Responsibilities

• Support the program by providing new and creative solutions to resolve wildlife incidents.
• Develop and incorporate best practices focusing on conflict mitigation techniques.
• Manage, respond, track, and report incidents of Human-Wildlife Conflict across the 17 counties of the NCR.
