Job summary

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking a dedicated Human Trafficking Coordinator to support the Navigator Program. This field‑oriented role conducts outreach in designated hot spots, engages potential victims, completes assessments, and connects individuals to victim services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of human services experience; 5 years preferred.
  • Experience with trauma-informed care and/or victims of human trafficking.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through.
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders including law enforcement and funders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach in areas identified as potential human trafficking hot spots.
  • Encounter, engage, and build trust with potential victims of human trafficking.
  • Complete thorough assessments and connect individuals to appropriate victim services.
  • Collect assessment and research data and enter information into the Give Hope Database.
  • Work with the Navigator Program to ensure referrals for non-HT individuals.
  • Serve as a liaison between the program, community partners, and outside agencies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with funding agencies and community resources.
  • Identify and respond to outreach and HT-related training opportunities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with policies; attend required trainings.

Human Trafficking Coordinator

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking a dedicated, field‑oriented Human Trafficking Coordinator to support the Navigator Program. Reporting to the Regional IMPACT Director, this role oversees and conducts outreach in designated human trafficking “hot spot” areas, engages potential victims, completes assessments, and connects individuals to appropriate victim services.

The Human Trafficking Coordinator also works closely with the Navigator Program to ensure individuals who are not identified as human trafficking victims are still referred for appropriate assistance and support.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct outreach in areas identified as potential human trafficking hot spots
  • Encounter, engage, and build trust with potential victims of human trafficking
  • Complete thorough assessments and connect individuals to appropriate victim services
  • Collect assessment and research data and enter information into the Give Hope Database
  • Work side by side with the Navigator Program to ensure non‑HT individuals are referred for appropriate assistance
  • Serve as a liaison between the program, community partners, and outside agencies
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with funding agencies, partnering agencies, and community resources
  • Build relationships with service providers, planning bodies, elected officials, law enforcement, civic groups, and religious associations
  • Identify and respond to appropriate outreach and human trafficking‑related training opportunities
  • Attend required staff meetings, conferences, trainings, and grant‑required HT assessment trainings
  • Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops on human trafficking‑related topics
  • Plan and present community forums/information sessions on behalf of VOADV three times per year
  • Oversee Human Trafficking Specialists
  • Maintain accurate statistical reporting and manage client assistance budget responsibilities
  • Identify and present matters requiring decision‑making to the Regional IMPACT Director
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with operational policies and procedures
  • Complete other duties as assigned
What You Need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years of human services experience required; 5 years preferred
  • Experience working with trauma‑informed care and/or victims of human trafficking
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and follow‑through
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, and Word
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients, staff, community members, law enforcement, funders, and partner agencies
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency driving standards
