Job summary

ARES Corporation is seeking a Human Spaceflight Systems Engineer to join their team in Littleton, CO. This role involves supporting critical human spaceflight activities for ULA and NASA’s Artemis program, ensuring the Centaur V upper stage meets rigorous human-rating and safety requirements.

The right candidate will need strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. A BS/BA in Aerospace Engineering or related fields, along with relevant experience, is required. The position offers a hybrid work model and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in human spaceflight, systems engineering, reliability, safety, or mission operations.
• Direct experience with human spaceflight programs (Artemis, SLS, Orion, or similar).
• Familiarity with NASA standards or equivalent human-rating requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the Centaur V upper stage design against NASA human spaceflight standards.
• Support system safety activities and development of hazard reports.
• Contribute to the reliability program with FMECA and PRA inputs.
• Provide technical expertise for upper stage operations on the Artemis program.
• Manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic program environment.
