Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Houston, TX, is seeking a Senior Member of the Technical Staff to lead architecture studies for human spaceflight concepts and guide cross-disciplinary teams. You’ll act as a technical focal point with NASA and contractors, mentor junior staff, and help shape study scoping, planning, and reporting.

Requirements include a BS (3–5 years) or MS (2+ years) in engineering or related fields, plus expertise in system/enterprise architecting, SysML/UAF/UPDM modeling, and

Qualifications

  • BS in engineering, science, or related field with 3–5 years of industry experience
  • MS in engineering, science, or related field with 2+ years of industry experience
  • Experience in system or enterprise architecting, systems engineering, concept design, and/or model-based systems engineering
  • Demonstrated interest in human spaceflight systems, missions, and architectures through coursework, projects, research, or personal study
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills and ability to work with diverse collaborators
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to present methods/results in reports and briefings
  • Ability to learn new skills through self-study and mentorship
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally ~5–10%
  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in architecture studies of human spaceflight system concepts with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Elicit needs, requirements and constraints from NASA, program office, and contractors; mentor junior staff
  • Coordinate with aerospace personnel to marshal expertise and enable concurrent engineering across disciplines
