Position Summary

Support the community relations mission of the Office of Human Rights & Equity (OHRE) by developing and implementing plans, educational programs, and events to address discrimination and promote better human relations in Howard County. Work closely with the Equity & Restorative Practices Unit and report to the OHRE Administrator.

Salary Range

$32.95 - $44.64 per hour, which equates to approximately $68,542 - $92,485 annually.

Class Description

Performs intermediate professional human services work, potentially including supervisory responsibilities, under general supervision. Responsibilities include administering human service programs, providing specialized health and human services to targeted populations, assisting in policy formulation, and offering counseling and referral services. May involve investigating complaints of unfair practices and violations of laws, as well as administering criminal justice and alternative sentencing programs.
