Position Overview

This role involves managing and supervising operational aspects of a facility or ward, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff, and serving as a leader and role model in a forensic setting working with individuals with developmental disabilities charged with felonies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage daily ward operations and supervise direct care staff.
  2. Ensure safety, emergency response, and quality care standards are met.
  3. Evaluate resident behaviors and collaborate with treatment teams to implement behavioral programs.
  4. Lead and mentor staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  5. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with policies.
  6. Coordinate with medical, security, and support personnel.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of behavior modification principles and supervisory practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and spend significant time in direct contact with residents.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Pre-employment and ongoing TB screening.
  • Background screening per Florida law.
