The position is a Human Services Provider Program Coordinator II located at Central Prison Healthcare Complex in Raleigh. It houses approximately 1318 close-custody male offenders and reports directly to the Senior Psychologist at the facility.
The HSPPCII provides, coordinates, and is accountable for inter-disciplinary, person-centered services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, dementia, mental health disorders, serious mental illness, complex behavioral disorders, and/or co-occurring disorders in a specialized multi-service facility. Responsibilities include implementing and assessing behavioral health treatment programming, providing treatment and progress updates, and developing/modifying individual treatment plans in collaboration with behavioral health staff.
The role ensures compliance with correctional health, safety, and habilitative services laws, standards, and policies. It involves working with various professional disciplines, attending multidisciplinary team meetings, supervising behavioral health support staff, and managing operational aspects such as budget and resources. The position differs from HSPPC1 by its higher accountability, complexity, and decision-making scope.
Applicants must meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed, including knowledge of active treatment programs, best practices in health and mental health care, person-centered planning, team leadership, communication skills, record-keeping, behavior intervention, supervision, and effective communication.
Minimum education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in a human services or related field and two years of experience providing professional or direct services to individuals with disabilities.
