The Kresge Foundation is seeking a Program Officer on the Human Services team to design and implement grantmaking programs addressing persistent human services issues. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in human services or related fields.
• Previous grantmaking or lending experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Experience across nonprofit, private, and public sectors.
• Ability to travel approximately 30 percent nationally.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to grantmaking strategy and program development.
• Participate in funder and cross-sector collaboratives.
• Develop criteria to evaluate portfolio and assess results.
• Help reach annual investment and grant targets.
• Identify effective strategies and how to implement with partners.
• Engage in national networks and external efforts.
• Lead initiatives such as grantee cohorts, RFPs, and competitions.
• Prepare strategy documents for leadership and Board.
