Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan (LSS) in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a Human Service Professional for the GainingGround program. This full‑time role delivers trauma‑informed, recovery‑focused services to individuals living with mental illness or experiencing homelessness, across a variety of community settings.

Responsibilities include crisis support, case management, coordination with service teams, and helping with Social Security, housing, IDs, and employment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field is required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work in community-based environments.
  • Experience supporting individuals in crisis is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional human services to individuals and groups in various settings.
  • Assist with Social Security, IDs, employment, and housing applications.
  • Coordinate mental health and recovery support with service teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support client independence.

Our mission is to deliver trauma-informed, recovery-focused servicesthathelpindividualsgainstabilityandbecomeactivemembersofthecommunity.

WhatYou’llDo

Inthisrole,youwillprovideprofessionalhumanservicestoindividualsandgroupsacrossavarietyofsettings,includingcommunitylocations,shelters,jails,offices,andschools. Servicesmaybe delivered in person or through audio/visual platforms.
