Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Teach a diverse student body at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick.
• Utilize instructional technology and apply a variety of effective teaching methods in daytime, evening, online, and dual‑credit courses offered with local high schools.
• Plan, manage, and deliver course instruction in accordance with established syllabi.
• Follow all EPA and OSHA regulations that pertain to the program.
• Participate in college functions as needed.
• Apply teaching practices that support continuous improvement of both the program and the college.
• Serve as a professional team member who supports the mission and vision of the college while performing duties with the highest level of quality and service.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

• Master’s degree in Psychology or Social Work is required, or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in a qualifying field (or any combination of the qualifying fields).
