Job summary

Avery Dennison seeks a Human Resources Workforce Support Specialist to directly support employees and leaders with day-to-day HR questions and policy guidance. You will handle inquiries for a specific group of sites in the US and coordinate with other teams to resolve issues.

Opportunity

The Human Resources Workforce Support Specialist will directly support employees and leaders with day‑to‑day HR support. They will support HR policies, procedures and programs of a specific group of sites/functions in the US and will be able to assist across multiple groups/sites as needed. Reporting to the US Workforce Support Manager, this individual will be the main point of contact for employees and managers regarding employee‑relations inquiries for their region.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Provides positive employee relations and manager capability support across the sites; uses observations and data to recommend strategies and initiatives that support employee morale and engagement.
  • Works in strong collaboration with other workforce‑support tiers to ensure employee inquiries and issues are resolved in a timely, friendly and comprehensive way.
  • Supports employees and managers with traditional support activities such as promotions, investigations, corrective actions, PIP terms and restructuring activities.
  • Actively serves as the main point of contact for employees regarding HR‑related inquiries, complaints and customer service (e.g., case management, policy or protocol navigation).
  • Serves as the primary liaison with HR workforce‑support leadership regarding policy reviews, policy improvements and training opportunities.
  • Supports leaders in finding and using resources on core processes such as GPS, Performance Management and Development.
  • Coaches employees and leaders on navigating and resolving key leadership processes and managing conflicts.
  • Builds and maintains relationships and partnerships with assigned sites and groups.
  • Masters the digital toolset, particularly ad.a / Servicenow, and supports and resolves regional employee‑relations issues using Servicenow while continually exploring technology that improves the HR and employee‑experience.
  • Supports key projects focused on new process or capability development and enhancement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field required.
  • At least one to four years of related experience required.
  • Occasional travel to various manufacturing sites across the US will be required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of human‑resources and labor‑relations principles, practices and procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities/cases at once, knowing when to seek support and when to elevate.
  • Ability to successfully use digital case‑management and workflow‑management tools to complete core activities.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, functional leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to compile, research and analyze information.
  • Ability to compose and present comprehensive reports.

  • Willingness to commute between Miamisburg, OH and Columbus, OH.
