Job summary

3M is seeking a Human Resources Supervisor for the DeKalb, IL distribution center. Lead onboarding, investigations, and HR process execution while partnering with leadership to uphold corporate policies and programs.

You will support diversity initiatives, disability and leave management, and provide guidance on employee questions, with travel up to 5% and relocation possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university.
• Three (3) years of Human Resources experience in a private, public, government or military environment.

• Hiring & New Employee Onboarding; coordinates interviews for compliance.
• Leads Corrective Action investigations and meetings with Leadership Team.
• Supports Healthy Living activities at the site.
• Implements & supports Employee Assistance and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives.
• Handles a variety of employee & Leadership questions.
• Coordinates salary reviews, performance management and related HR processes.
• Establishes credibility and visibility with employees via regular interaction.
• Interprets and applies corporate policies, procedures and practices for staff.
• Supports disability and leave management processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Human Resources Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.

• Hiring & New Employee Onboarding. Coordinates with stakeholders for interviews to ensure compliance with applicable business process.
• Leads the Corrective Action process by doing employee investigations and facilitates Corrective Action meeting with the Leadership Team.
• Ensures site support of Healthy Living activities.
• Coordinate and ensure 3M Corporate initiatives such as Employee Assistance & Diversity & Inclusion are implemented & supported.
• Handle a variety of employee & Leadership questions.
• Coordinates preparation, scheduling, and implementation of human resources processes such as salary review, performance management process, etc.
• Establishes credibility and visibility with employees through regular interaction.
• Provides support and assistance to employees/management through administration and interpretation of corporate policies, procedures and practices.
• Supports disability and leave management process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university
• Three (3) years of Human Resources experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited university
• Must be able to work independently with little oversight;
• Strong judgement & problem solving skills;
• Ability to resolve employee issues and elevate when appropriate

• Work location: DeKalb, IL
• Travel: May include up to 5% domestic travel
• Relocation: May be authorized
• Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
