Job Description:

This position is part of the payroll team responsible for processing biweekly payroll and HR transactions for over 1800 MaineDOT employees.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting employees with pay and benefit-related matters,
  • Verification related to financial institutions, unemployment, MainePERS,
  • Reconciling payroll system with the state's accounting system,

This role also involves monitoring personnel actions to ensure proper documentation and compliance with laws, rules, and collective bargaining agreements. It may include assisting with recruitment, selection, and Workers' Compensation. Work is performed under general supervision.

Minimum Qualifications:

Evidence of education, training, and/or experience demonstrating solid knowledge of human resources or payroll functions.
