Overview:
Access Global Group (AGG) is seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist with in-depth knowledge of HR practices and compliance requirements in both India and the United States. This role will be responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations, managing the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with labor regulations, and facilitating cross-regional coordination. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, culturally astute, and comfortable working independently across time zones.
Key Responsibilities:
India-Specific HR Duties:
- Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, including regulations related to wages, hours, leave policies, and statutory benefits.
- Draft and manage employment contracts in line with local legal standards and company policies.
- Oversee the administration of statutory benefits such as Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Gratuity, and other welfare schemes.
- Address employee relations and workplace issues with cultural sensitivity and legal accuracy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and personnel files in accordance with Indian regulations.
U.S.-Based HR Coordination:
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes for U.S.-based employees in coordination with the corporate HR team.
- Maintain familiarity with U.S. employment best practices and assist in tracking compliance items (e.g., I-9 documentation, EEO data, acknowledgment forms).
- Coordinate time zone-sensitive communications, employee file management, and HR documentation needs with U.S. stakeholders.
- Provide logistical support for benefit administration, new hire processes, and internal training initiatives.
General HR Responsibilities (India & U.S.):
- Conduct onboarding sessions and facilitate smooth integration for new hires.
- Support training and development efforts, including scheduling, compliance tracking, and recordkeeping.
- Assist in managing the performance review process and maintaining related documentation.
- Maintain HRIS data accuracy and integrity across platforms used in both regions.
- Prepare and analyze regular HR reports and metrics to identify trends and ensure operational consistency.
- Contribute to internal HR process improvements and culture-building efforts aligned with company values.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience (US & India), with at least 3 years covering US HR operations.
- Strength and knowledge with U.S. HR operations or experience supporting U.S.-based teams.
- Solid understanding of Indian labor laws, benefits, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Comfortable working across multiple time zones and managing competing priorities.
- Experience with HR software
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a global organization or U.S.-based company.
- Working knowledge of U.S. employment documentation (e.g., I-9, W-4, benefit enrollment forms).
- HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or relevant Indian HR credentials.
