We are looking for a Human Resources Specialist to write, review, and validate prompt-based questions designed to train AI.

Your expertise in recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR compliance will ensure each prompt and response reflects how HR professionals support organizations and employees. You’ll help shape how AI models understand people operations, internal policy, talent lifecycle management, and regulatory best practices.

You are a good fit if you:

  • Have over 3+ years of professional experience in human resources or people operations
  • Have a bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational psychology, business, or a related field
  • Are currently based in the United States, United Kingdom, or Canada
  • Have a strong background in areas such as coordinating hiring and onboarding, conducting employee relations investigations, administering compensation and benefits, maintaining compliance with labor laws, updating employee records, and supporting internal HR communications and reporting
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have strong attention to details

Role Highlights

  • Flexible workload: 10–20 hours per week, with potential to increase to 40 hours.
  • Fully remote and asynchronous—work on your own schedule.
  • Minimum duration: 1–2 months, with potential for extension.

Role Start Date

  • This role will begin in mid to late-July with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

Interview Process

  • You will take an AI interview where you will be asked questions about your background in HR operations, compliance, and employee support
  • You will share your screen and write a detailed prompt to generate an AI response about a HR scenario.
  • You will evaluate and compare LLM outputs to determine which response is more effective and accurate.
  • Applicants will be selected based on their performance in the AI interview and on the accuracy and quality of their evaluations.

Compensation and Legal Details

  • You will be legally classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor
  • We will pay you out at the end of each week via Stripe Connect
