Job Opportunities

The Village of Lombard is seeking a full-time Human Resources Specialist for the Human Resources Department. Essential duties will include:

  1. Providing support and assistance to the Human Resources department;
  2. Coordinating Human Resources programs and projects;
  3. Interviewing, testing and assisting in hiring and orienting new personnel;
  4. Maintaining personnel records;
  5. Managing payroll for the Village.

The successful candidate will possess good communication and computer skills. The ability to work with the public and other departments/divisions in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related field;
  2. 3 years of progressively responsible Human Resources and payroll experience;
  3. Word and Excel and data systems entry experience a plus;
  4. Past experience working in a local governmental environment is desirable.
