Insteel Industries is seeking a Human Resources and Safety Manager Trainee to support recruiting, payroll administration, and compliance at our Kentucky plant. You will gain exposure to benefits, safety programs, and HR operations while working with cross-functional teams.

The role focuses on developing HR and safety expertise, handling confidential information, and delivering practical solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a pathway role with significant growth potential.

• Ensures timely and accurate maintenance of payroll changes for plant location.

Human Resources and Safety Manager Trainee

Position Snapshot
An HR and Safety Manager Trainee is commonly expected to have basic knowledge of Human Resources functions including Federal and State Laws pertaining to Human Resources for the state they are located in. Your development will include the following areas for HR and Safety: Recruiting, Orientation/Integration, Employee Relations, Benefits, Training and Development, Compensation, Safety, Management Reports, Compliance, Payroll Administration.

Requirements and Education

• Professional, technical or administrative training; knowledge of Human Resources functions and related federal and state laws.
• Ability to generate business related communications.
• Associate’s degree and experience gained during a Human Resources internship or professional organization participation.
• Knowledge of payroll processes are preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.
