Position:

Human Resources Risk Specialist

Location:

Salt Lake City, UT (Fully Remote, but must be able to work PST hours)

Pay:

$40,000 to $55,000/year (Depending on experience)

Experience/Education:
  • 2 years of experience in risk management or compliance.
  • 4-year degree can be considered in place of experience.
  • 1 year of experience running payroll for over 100 people is preferred.
Type:

Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule:

Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate all US time zones on a daily basis

Job Description:
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify potential risks and compliance issues.
  • Perform data analysis and generate reports utilizing various tools and software.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance within the company.
  • Track and report on compliance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies by collaborating with relevant departments.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain and update the risk register, documenting identified risks and their mitigation plans.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on risk management and compliance procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, R).
