THE VENUE

When the new Yankee Stadium opened in 2009, it was an instant icon. The mission was to install all traditional elements of the old stadium with a modern flare and visionary amenities. The stadium features multiple private club areas, concessions, and more than 425 points of sale, setting a new standard for premium ballpark dining. Over 250 culinarians work in 17 kitchens, preparing fresh food from scratch daily with rotating menus to satisfy diverse palates. These innovations, combined with a focus on guest experience, are reinforced through continuous staff training, reward programs, and real-time guest feedback.

THE ROLE

The Human Resources Manager for Legends at Yankee Stadium is key to delivering our promise to guests. The role involves executing HR strategies and managing the full employee lifecycle. The manager will collaborate with the General Managers and Regional HR Director on initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and business performance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing strong management partnerships to implement HR strategies, processes, and practices.
  • Providing coaching and feedback across all employee levels, addressing issues and business needs.
  • Ensuring compliance with governmental and labor reporting requirements.
  • Leading employee relations, investigations, and grievance procedures.
  • Managing Collective Bargaining Agreement administration and participating in grievance processes.
  • Processing workers’ compensation claims, leaves of absence, and benefits administration.
  • Developing talent development initiatives and materials.
  • Maintaining operational knowledge relevant to HR partnership.
  • Making HR-related business decisions with sound judgment.
  • Ensuring optimal staffing levels for operational success.
  • Administering full employee lifecycle processes at the venue.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of varied HR experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including workers’ compensation, workplace safety, EEOC, NLRB, and FLSA.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and ATS systems.
  • Comfort in presenting to small and large audiences.
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships across functions and communities.
  • Strong leadership and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to influence and establish credibility at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Commitment to high-quality customer service and leadership.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience in union environments is preferred.
  • Comfort working in a matrix leadership environment.
COMPENSATION

Salary range: $65,000 - $70,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k).
