A global offshore services company is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations across the United States, Central America, and the Caribbean. This is a pivotal leadership position supporting both onshore and offshore personnel across a dynamic and safety-driven organization.
Position Overview
As the HR Manager, you will oversee all aspects of human resources for the region, including workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, compliance, and team leadership. This role reports directly to regional leadership and plays a key role in shaping and supporting a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a regional HR team, conducting performance reviews and driving team development.
Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of top-tier talent.
Manage compensation, benefits, 401(k), and workers' compensation programs.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal HR policies (e.g., FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, Jones Act, etc.).
Partner with department leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives.
Administer and enhance the HRIS platform and serve as a key systems user.
Promote workforce engagement and succession planning.
Collaborate with legal, HSEQ, and executive leadership on employment matters including injury claims and regulatory reporting.
Maintain and continuously improve the regional employee handbook and HR procedures.
Participate in internal audits and uphold applicable ISO and client compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7–10+ years of HR leadership experience, ideally within offshore oil & gas, maritime, or industrial sectors.
Strong knowledge of regional labor laws and employment regulations.
Experience supporting offshore/marine operations is strongly preferred.
Professional certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent are a plus.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.
U.S. Work Authorization required.
