The Department of Transportation's Human Resources Office is seeking highly motivated applicants for the position of Human Resources Manager. This position requires superior interpersonal skills in coaching and negotiations, and a consultative role in supporting the Department's organizational needs. Applicants must have extensive knowledge and experience within a Human Resources environment.
Candidates should possess skills to collaborate with managers in labor relations, performance management, recruitment and selection, employee misconduct, grievance handling, and employee investigations. Strong writing skills are essential, including documentation for investigations and comprehensive reports for management and employee appeals. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a Unionized environment. Statewide travel is required.
