Job summary

IPG is seeking an HR Manager I to lead all HR activities at the Midland site. The role reports to the Regional HR Director and is an exempt salaried position.

Responsibilities include directing HR activities, partnering with local leadership, and implementing programs that promote positive employee relations and development within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in related field and/or minimum of ten years' progressive experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills, tact, maturity and flexibility.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with employee relations including coaching and resolving grievances.
• Conflict resolution skills, with the ability to gain trust and work through others to achieve goals.

Overall Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates human resources activities in compliance with company philosophy, objectives, and legal requirements
• Partners with the Operations Manager and local leadership team
• Recommends and directs the installation of programs and policies that create or reinforce a positive employee relations atmosphere

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Degree in related fieldand/or minimum of ten years' progressive experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment
• Strong interpersonal skills, tact, maturity and flexibility
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience with employee relations including coaching and resolving grievances
• Conflict resolution skills, with the ability to gain trust and work through others to achieve goals
• Strong problem-solving capability
• Labor relations and collective bargaining experience is a plus
• Collaborative and energetic with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Ability to work independently and in a high-paced team environment with changing priorities
