Overview

Mill Pond in Ankeny, Iowa, is seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager to join our team. This role is classified as a Human Resources Manager II.

The Human Resources Manager develops and implements human resource systems and processes that support operational strategies and goals of the campus, ensuring consistency with Corporate HR policies and strategies.

Reporting Structure: The Human Resources Manager reports directly to the Campus Administrator and works closely with Community Leadership Team members, Site Leader, Director of Regional HR, and HR Functional Work Group Members. This position supervises the receptionists at the site.

About This Community

Complete with walkways and waterfalls, Mill Pond is situated on five acres south of First Street, off of Delaware Avenue in Ankeny. It offers access to interstate corridors, trails, retail, restaurants, and services.

This community provides Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Care Center, and Transitional/Short Term Care.

Responsibilities

The Human Resource Manager is a member of the site leadership team, participating in planning and implementing strategies to ensure high-quality resident care and achieve operational goals. Responsibilities include:

  • Reflecting the mission, vision, and culture in communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Leading the development and implementation of HR plans and systems, including job design, recruitment, education, safety, performance management, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Monitoring compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Administering pay and benefits systems.
  • Implementing corporate HR policies on campus.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years’ HR experience; a 4-year degree in HR, business, or related field preferred.
  • Competencies in employee relations, recruiting, HR policies, and initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Alignment with PHS’s mission and philosophies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
