About The Role

The Human Resources Manager plays a pivotal role within the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, overseeing all human resources functions to ensure the effective management of personnel and organizational development. Reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, this leadership position is responsible for developing HR strategies, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Qualifications

A minimum of five years of progressive experience in human resources management, preferably within a law enforcement or government setting, is required. Professional HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP are highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of employment laws, labor relations, and organizational development.
