Special Metals is seeking an HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function for the New Hartford and Dunkirk sites, developing policies and aligning HR with business objectives. The role partners with operations to understand needs and ensures effective HR support across multiple areas.
The position manages union relations, collective bargaining compliance, and broad HR functions including succession planning, compensation, benefits, safety, recruitment, and employee development.
This position is accountable for managing the Human Resource function for the New Hartford and Dunkirk sites and is responsible for creating and implementing Human Resources policies. Responsible for partnering with the business operations team to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives.
The Human Resources Manager is responsible with managing the relationship between the Company and Union as well as ensuring consistent administration of the collective bargaining agreement. This position will also be responsible for and/or serve as an HR liaison for most of the following areas: succession planning, talent management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, EEO, safety, medical, recruitment, federal and state law compliance, records retention, community relations, and training and development.
