Mount Kemble Search Group is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager in Stamford, CT to lead HR operations and act as a strategic partner to plant leadership.

You will support a manufacturing workforce across employee relations, recruiting, performance management, workforce planning, compliance, and employee development. The role emphasizes strong leadership, policy guidance, and continuous improvement across HR programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • HR experience across employee relations, recruiting, performance management, compliance, and workforce planning.
  • Union/labor relations experience is required.
  • Payroll and benefits experience is helpful.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively partner with plant leadership and employees at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with plant and operations leadership on HR strategy and day-to-day workforce needs.
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, recruiting, retention, succession planning, and workforce development.
  • Provide guidance to managers on compensation, benefits, training, conflict resolution, and HR policies.
  • Support labor relations and contract administration as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, transfers, terminations, and other employee lifecycle activities.
  • Monitor workforce metrics including turnover, attendance, retention, and productivity.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support organizational improvements and a strong company culture.
  • Lead HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coach and develop managers while promoting accountability and effective communication across the organization.

A well established manufacturing organization in Stamford CT is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their team. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading HR operations and serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership.
