  • Administer benefits, leaves of absence, workplace accommodations and workers’ compensation matters
  • Maintain compliance with federal, Michigan and local employment laws
  • Maintain employee records, HR systems, policies and the employee handbook
  • Oversee performance management, training and employee‑development initiatives
  • Monitor recruiting, turnover and other workforce trends and recommend improvements
  • Continuously improve HR processes, systems and the overall employee experience
  • Coordinate with the Payroll Specialist to ensure employee and compensation changes are accurate, documented and properly communicated

  • Automotive dealership, retail, hospitality or other multi‑location service‑business experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred

  • Strong organization, time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and respond effectively to time‑sensitive matters
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort conducting investigations and having difficult conversations
  • Practical, responsive and solutions‑oriented approach
  • Ability to build credibility with employees and senior leadership
  • Strong follow‑through and personal accountability
