Job summary

BLADE in Geneva, Ohio is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee the HR function at our manufacturing site. This onsite role partners with site leadership and manages talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and regulatory compliance across the employee lifecycle.

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (UKG, a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition: Oversees recruitment efforts, attends external recruitment events, participates in interview/selection processes to meet talent needs.
  • Employee Relations: Provides guidance to leadership on employee relations issues, conducts investigations, and mediates conflicts.
  • Performance Management: Administers performance review process for frontline employees and advises on performance issues including PIP.
  • Compliance & Policy: Implements and enforces policies, ensures compliance with labor laws; liaises with OFCCP and state employment services.
  • Benefits & Compensation: Administers benefits programs and assists payroll in weekly/biweekly submissions and reviews.
  • Onboarding/Training: Manages new hire onboarding and coordinates training initiatives.
  • Employee Engagement: Participates in site and organization-wide engagement activities to promote a positive culture.

What We Need

We are seeking an experienced, proactive Human Resources Manager to oversee the HR function for our Geneva, Ohio manufacturing site. This role serves as a partner to the leadership team and is responsible for the entire employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. This role is intended to be onsite, Monday through Friday.

Essential Duties
  • Talent Acquisition: Oversees recruitment efforts, attends external recruitment events, participates in the interview/selection process and facilitates the hiring procedure to meet talent needs
  • Employee Relations: Provides guidance to the leadership team on employee relations issues and actions, conducts investigations and mediates conflicts to foster a positive work environment
  • Performance Management: Administers the performance review process for front line employees and advises managers and supervisors on performance issues including performance improvement plans
  • Compliance & Policy: Implements and enforces company and site‑specific policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. Serves a liaison between the Company and various government agencies including the OFCCP and state employment services
  • Benefits & Compensation: Administers employee benefits programs, assists with compensation benchmarking and assists the payroll administrator in submission and review of both weekly and biweekly payrolls
  • Onboarding/Training: Manages new hire onboarding and coordinates training/development initiatives
  • Employee Engagement: Participates in site and organization‑wide employee engagement activities to help foster and promote a positive workplace culture
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of direct Human Resources experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience implementing HR processes, policies, and operational improvements is a must
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEO) and HR best practices
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, time management and conflict‑resolution skills. Proficiency in HRIS systems (UKG, a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite
