Job summary

Leybold USA Inc. is seeking a strategic Human Resources Manager to lead People & Culture and EHS across the United States and Mexico. Reporting to the General Manager, you will shape culture, develop people strategies, and ensure compliance across locations.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading People & Culture and HR in a complex organization.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR compliance.
  • Experience across multiple locations or jurisdictions.
  • Ability to influence leaders, drive organizational change, and balance strategic priorities with execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; advanced education or certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute local people strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Embed accountability, ownership, and collaboration across the employee lifecycle.
  • Guide leadership on talent, performance, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead talent management, leadership development, and succession planning.
  • Oversee HR operations including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, and development.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws across U.S. states and Mexico.
  • Lead EHS function and promote a safety-focused culture.

What we do

We are seeking a strategic and people-focused Human Resources Manager to lead our People & Culture and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) functions across the United States and Mexico. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is responsible for shaping organizational culture, developing people strategies, supporting business growth, and ensuring compliance across multiple locations and jurisdictions.

This is more than a traditional HR leadership role. We are looking for a leader who can build strong teams, develop scalable processes, influence organizational performance, and foster a culture rooted in accountability, ownership, collaboration, and safety.

Responsibilities
Strategic People & Culture Leadership
  • Develop and execute local people strategies aligned with business objectives and global initiatives.
  • Drive organizational culture by embedding accountability, ownership, and collaboration throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Partner closely with leadership to provide guidance on talent, performance, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead talent management initiatives that ensure the right people are in the right roles and positioned for long-term success.
  • Support leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement programs.
Human Resources Operations
  • Lead all aspects of Human Resources including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, performance management, and professional development.
  • Develop and improve HR systems, policies, and processes to drive effectiveness and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations across multiple U.S. states and Mexico.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage employee and business-related HR matters.
Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
  • Lead the EHS function and support a culture where safety is integrated into daily operations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workplace safety and operational performance.

  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and workforce management practices.
  • Experience leading teams, building processes, and driving organizational performance.
  • Ability to influence leaders, manage change, and make sound business decisions.
  • Experience supporting organizations across multiple locations or jurisdictions preferred.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a strong asset.

To succeed, you will need
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced education or professional certifications are a plus.
  • Progressive experience leading Human Resources functions within a complex business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR compliance; experience supporting multiple states and/or international operations is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, drive organizational change, and build high-performing teams.
  • Experience across core HR disciplines including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and organizational development.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic priorities and hands-on execution.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead with accountability, ownership, and integrity while fostering collaboration across all levels of the organization.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our home office in Export, PA, United States (US).
