Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and implement policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations to all employees.
  • Monitor processes to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g., Title VII, ADA, EEO).
  • Guide and advise management; act as HR liaison on various issues.
  • Oversee staffing, candidate screening, onboarding, and retention efforts; support campaigns.
  • Manage onboarding process and coordination of leave (FMLA).
  • Handle payroll, time validation, vacation and holiday accruals; manage accounts payable/receivable as needed.
  • Ensure accurate personnel and medical records, and audit I-9 documents.

Job description

Transdev in Concord, CA is hiring a Human Resources Manager . The Human Resources Manager supports the management team with full-cycle recruiting and other HR-related responsibilities. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $78,000 – maximum $82,000
Benefits include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for interpretation, and implementation of policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations to all employees.
  • Proactively monitor all processes and policies to ensure compliance with all functional state and federal regulation, rules, and laws, e.g., Title VII, ADA, EEO, Affidatio ... etc. Keep abreast of undated federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Provides guidance and direction and acts as a department liaison regarding various issues for management.
  • Ensures that staffing levels are maintained. Administration of hiring campaigns, screening candidates, and hiring employees, conducting orientations, retention, etc. (e.g., utilizes Jobvite, Forfox, aINSIGHT)
  • Responsible for Onboarding process
  • Support management in forecasting and planning through staffing: ensure requirements are in line with requirements are line.
  • Maintains personnel files and medical files and routinely audits i-9 documents.
  • Assist Division Manager and /or HR Director with handling conflict resolutions, maintaining accurate files and timesheets.
  • Will be responsible for Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) adherence.
  • Coordinate FMLA and other leave at facility.
  • Responsible for monthly Fare Recon
  • Responsible for billing passengers with outstanding balances for rides.
  • Manages Payroll process, time validation, vacation, sick floating holiday accruals.
  • Responsible for all accounts payable and receivables.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR preferred.
Experience:
  • Five years of relevant human resource experience, including recruiting, selection, and employee relations, is required.
Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, working alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
