Job summary

Emerson in the Twin Cities is offering an internship in Human Resources. You will support DEI, Learning & Development, and Talent Acquisition initiatives, helping plan programs that promote inclusion and attract top talent.

You will assist onboarding, rotate through employee relations, compensation, benefits, and organizational development to gain broad HR exposure, and you’ll analyze data using Excel or HRIS.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s in business or HR recommended.
  • 0 years of related experience required.
  • In-person, 40 hours/week at Twin Cities location (Shakopee, Chanhassen, or Eden Prairie).
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Contributeto strategic HR initiatives by supporting projects across Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), Learning & Development, and Talent Acquisition. You’ll assist in planning and executing programs that promote an inclusive workplace, foster employee growth, and attract top talent to Emerson.
  • Assistwith onboarding and orientation for new employees by preparing materials, coordinating schedules, and helping facilitate a smooth transition into the organization. You’ll play a key role in ensuring new hires feel welcomed, informed, and connected from day one.
  • Gainexposure to multiple HR functions by rotating across areas such as employee relations, compensation, benefits, and organizational development. This hands‑on experience will give you a comprehensive understanding of how HR supports business strategy and employee success.
  • AnalyzeHR data and generate reports to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and support data‑driven decision‑making. You’ll work with tools like Excel or HRIS platforms to help improve processes and enhance employee experience.
  • SupportHR systems and process improvements by assisting with system updates, troubleshooting HRIS issues, and helping implement enhancements that improve efficiency, accuracy, and usability for HR teams and employees.
