AEG is seeking a bilingual HR Generalist in California to oversee employee relations, payroll, and talent acquisition support across the HR life cycle. You will interpret policy, assist managers, and ensure compliant practices while advising on strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/Spanish with fluent speaking, reading, and writing.
  • BA/BS Degree in HR, Business Management, or related area.
  • 2-4 years of related work experience.
  • Experience with HRIS systems including Ultimate Software, Greenhouse, Cornerstone and ABI Mastermind preferred.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, high energy and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with all internal stakeholders.
  • Music/Entertainment industry experience is a plus.
  • Occasional evenings and weekends availability may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee employee relations, payroll, and talent acquisition support across the HR lifecycle.
  • Provide policy interpretation and guidance to managers and staff.
  • Lead employee relations investigations with objective reviews and coaching.
  • Train Department Heads and Managers and audit training compliance.
  • Support payroll processing, data audits, and benefits administration.
  • Assist with scheduling processes and workforce planning.
  • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition for candidate logistics and flow.
  • Manage Leaves of Absences and ADA accommodations interactions.
  • Audit and update job descriptions to align with organizational changes.
  • Support other HR initiatives as needed.

A Brief Overview

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for overseeing various areas of the HR life cycle, with a primary focus on employee relations, payroll, and talent acquisition support. The individual will provide ongoing support to employees & managers in the areas of policy interpretation, employee relations, training, and payroll, while acting as a trusted resource on HR-related matters. Additionally, the individual will be able to make recommendations and develop strategies in alignment with the Company's vision.

What You Will Do
  • Act as a trusted resource to managers and employees. Provide day-to-day human resources services in the areas of policy interpretation, employee relations, training, payroll, HR processes, and applicable employment practices.
  • Lead employee relations investigations by conducting thorough, timely, and objective reviews of workplace concerns; provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees, and partner with HR team members to make recommendations for resolution and ensure consistent and compliant application of policies and practices.
  • Train and provide support to Department Heads and Managers, developing and establishing strong working relationships while delivering guidance on employee relations, performance management, compliance and leadership practices. Continually evaluate training programs to ensure effectiveness and relevance.
  • Facilitate and support manager training and development initiatives; serve as a Learning & Development ambassador by championing and communicating opportunities to employees and managers, and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with all company-assigned training.
  • Process weekly payroll for the designated employee population, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance; audit payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and serve as a key point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and issue resolution.
  • Serve as a primary resource for workforce scheduling processes and systems; partner with managers to ensure schedules are aligned with business needs and staffing levels, provide guidance and troubleshooting support, and identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization.
  • Support the Talent Acquisition process across AEG Presents in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team, including interview scheduling, coordinating candidate logistics, and assisting with applicant flow processes while ensuring a positive candidate experience consistent with our organization’s hiring strategies.
  • Manage employee Leaves of Absences and Accommodations under the ADA process; liaise with external partners, corporate office, human resources team, employee, and supervisor to facilitate the interactive process, answer questions, and make recommendations.
  • Proactively audit existing job descriptions to ensure they are aligned to support departmental and organizational changes.
  • Support additional HR initiatives, projects, and responsibilities as assigned, based on business needs.
Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) In Human Resources, Business Management, or a related area
  • 2-4 years Of related work experience
  • Experience with various HRIS systems including Ultimate Software, Greenhouse, Cornerstone and ABI Mastermind is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively manage and resolve complex and sensitive human resource issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, high energy, excellent follow-up and follow-through skills
  • Excellent critical thinking, project management and organizational skills
  • Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to learn required business systems
  • Knowledgeable of local, state, and federal employment law and regulations
  • Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to quickly summarize and present data in a meaningful format
  • Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with all levels of internal stakeholders
  • Independent thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Highly organized with a record of prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
  • Music/Entertainment Industry experience is a plus
  • Availability: Occasional evening and weekend availability may be required on a project basis.
Payscale

$71,000

Bonus

This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
